Melbourne native and Red Bull Music Academy alumni, Dizz1 (AKA Dave Norris), sprung up as a solo artist on the electronic beats scene in 2009 with his appearance on Jay Scarlett’s ‘Beat Dimensions Vol.2 EP2’ on Rush Hour Records, before dropping his own debut release, the ‘Third Time Lucky’ EP, on Kindred Spirits imprint Nod Navigators that same year. Since then he’s had releases on both Black Acre and Tru Thoughts, the latter of which released his debut album ‘In Sickness & In Health’ just last year.
In celebration of the first anniversary of ‘In Sickness & In Health’, Dizz1 has decided to release this new track, ‘If I Could Tell You Anything’, featuring Fijian vocalist Kaivili for free via Bandcamp. It’s a progressive soul track with a deep message, and, in his own words;
“Wow, it’s already been a year since I released my first solo album ‘In Sickness & In Health’, and as a token of my appreciation for your support, I’d like to offer a free download of a very special track I’ve been sitting on featuring the amazing voice of Kaivili from Fiji. This track represents the struggle we as a species are up against on a daily basis and with the (Australian) elections looming, we couldn’t think of a better time than now to share this message of truth and hope with you all!
