‘Prisoner To The Past’ is the latest effort from folk-rock connoisseur Homesick Mick who is releasing the track as a Christmas single.
In conjunction with releasing his debut EP, Black Hole Friday, Homesick Mick launched a social media campaign against Sir Philip Green for extorting the former employees of BHS and leaving them without their well deserved pensions. His march against corruption culminated on the release date of the EP (25th November), when Mick took his protest to the streets outside of one of Green’s most valuable assets, Oxford Street’s Topshop.
Aside from Homesick Mick’s work as a social activist, the music is his real passion and ‘Prisoner To The Past’ exemplifies the folk-rock singer-songwriter at his best with a catchy hook and a video that seemingly features Paul McCartney and John Lennon.
The new album, The Mysterious Abduction and Return of Homesick Mick, is set to be released 13th January 2017 and it was mastered at the renowned Abbey Road Studios.
