Angie A releases her unique jump-jive single ‘Essex Girl (Professional)’ inspired by the hit TV series ‘The Only Way Is Essex’. The track combining a distinct twelve bar blues sample from the Fleecy Moore song ‘Caldonia’ has contemporary lyrics based on an original idea. Her Essex obsession led her to show support to the #IamanEssexgirl campaign, with the aim to change the dictionary definition of the term.
Angie states ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ and its star, Gemma Collins are her guilty pleasures . Angie says that she wrote the song to ‘put a smile on my face and I hope it will do the same for others!’. The opening line of the song is also a quote from the TOWIE star: ‘I may not be a size ten, but I ain’t half got a good heart…’.
The rising star raised money within her community to fund the recording of the track, plus over £300 of the money made was donated to Comic Relief.
