Along with the beautiful vocal talents of Lisa Ambrose, Jake Aldridge has returned with his infectious brand of rap-pop that will appeal to fans across the genres.
Having topped Zone radio’s top 40 charts in the past and also receiving support from Tom Robinson’s BBC introducing mix tape, Jake is an artist on the up and he hopes to continue that momentum with the new single, ‘Fireman’.
Opening with a cleverly crafted vocal hook from Ambrose, Jake’s potent and considered lyrics take centre stage afterwards, covering the sensitive issues of love, loss and heartbreak.
Unfortunately, these are themes Jake is familiar with, having lost his father at the age of 11, but this only adds to the strength of his songwriting talent.
With influences such as Tupac and Dr. Dre, you can see how Jake adopts elements from these rap icons in his own music.
